COMPANY PROFILE

Arnco Technology Trust Limited
Over Half a Century of Innovation

The technology behind Arnco's outstanding hardbanding alloys stretches back to 1946 when its founder Roman F. Arnoldy developed and patented a hardfacing alloy which was set to revolutionize wear protection. In 1960 he developed and patented the Triten bulk welding process, which was the catalyst for the commercial exploitation of overlay alloy steel plate.

In 1992 this technology was extended to the hardbanding of drill strings with the introduction of Arnco 200XT™ wire for the protection of casing, marine risers and BOPs and the drill strings from rapid abrasive wear. An immediate success with oil companies across the world, Arnco 200XT™ hardbanding wire had, by the turn of the millennium, been applied to in excess of 20 million feet of drill pipe and other drilling equipment.

Research and alloy development has continued to keep pace with the growing demands of the industry for even more effective hardbanding products capable of withstanding the conditions experienced in deeper, more critical, horizontally extended reach wells, which are now used to locate and extract oil and gas in some of the most inaccessible locations.

Over the past five years Arnco has developed Arnco 100XT™ and 300XT™ hardbanding wires to meet these demands. Arnco 100XT™ hardbanding wire has the lowest casing wear percentage of all hardbanding wires as tested by Maurer Technology. Arnco 300XT™ has been proven to be the most durable hardbanding available for the worldwide petroleum industry.

Wherever the search for new sources of petroleum takes the industry Arnco will be there working alongside its customers and delivering superior products backed by superior service and support.
