Triten T-34 is a highly engineered hardfacing alloy in the form of a tubular wire. When properly applied, it results in a high-chromium cast iron deposit with hard chromium carbides in a strong austenitic matrix. This is ideal for hardfacing components that are subject to severe abrasive wear and moderate impact.
Details:
- Metal-cored wire
- Open-arc or gas-shielded
- 2-3 layers can be applied
- Cutting with plasma torch is recommended
- Stress-relief cracking is normal and will occur
Applications:
- Hardfaced plate and pipe
- Mining and construction equipment
- Material transport conveyors, chutes, and ducting
- Scraper and grade blades
